Context Architecture for AI-Assisted Instructional Content Writing

Writing useful instructional content with AI starts with giving it the right context. In this session, Gabrielle Sun (Instructional Design Lead at EY) teaches you how to organize your knowledge, audience needs, and writing instructions into a reusable context structure that supports your content creation process.

You’ll see how three layers work together: a persistent context layer that captures foundational knowledge and content guidelines; audience personas and their jobs to be done; and reusable AI skills and workflows built on top. Using a long-form educational blog article as an example, we’ll walk through how these layers guide the writing process, from shaping an outline to drafting and refining content for a specific audience.

Whether you’re exploring building AI skills or improving an existing process, this session will give you a practical approach to creating relevant, purposeful instructional content without rebuilding your context for every new assignment.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Set up a persistent context layer that makes essential knowledge and content guidelines reusable across writing tasks

  • Define audience personas and their jobs to be done to guide what your content teaches and how it is presented

  • Build reusable AI skills and workflows that bring these layers together to create long-form instructional content
